Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ace Your Interviews?
Ace Your Interviews is a web app for voice mock-interview practice. You speak your answers in a simulated interview conversation and can review automated feedback after the session.
How does Ace Your Interviews work?
Choose a role and interview format, add the resume and job-description context you want to use, and start a voice practice session. The app generates tailored questions and organizes its automated feedback around the STAR framework.
How are practice questions tailored?
When you provide a resume and job description, AYI uses that content as context for practice questions. Review the generated questions and feedback as preparation guidance rather than employer-approved material.
What does the automated feedback mean?
The feedback highlights structure and communication using the Situation, Task, Action, and Result framework. It can help you revise an answer, but it is not an employer evaluation, hiring decision, or guarantee of interview performance.
What interview formats can I practice?
The app offers voice practice for behavioral, technical-discussion, system-design, and other role-focused interview formats. Available options are shown when you prepare a session.
How does pricing work?
New verified accounts receive one free full voice-interview credit. After that interview, AYI sells pay-per-credit interview packs; the pack size, regional price, currency, and included credits are shown before payment.
What startup program was Ace Your Interviews selected for?
Selected for the Google for Startups Cloud Program. This describes AYI's participation in the program; it is not a claim of endorsement, investment, or partnership.
Can I practice for interviews at Meta, Netflix, Tesla, and other companies?
Yes. AYI provides independent employer-topic practice guides for Meta, Netflix, Tesla, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, and others. Use each guide with the current job description and official employer material. AYI is not affiliated with or endorsed by these employers.
Is AYI affiliated with employers named in its guides?
No. Employer and product names are used only to identify public interview-preparation topics or user-selected role context. Ace Your Interviews is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of those employers.
Does AYI store my interview recordings?
Review the Privacy Policy for the current description of audio, transcript, and account-data processing. You may submit a verified account-deletion request from Profile or through support.
How do I request account and data deletion?
Open Profile and choose 'Request Account Deletion', then send the prepared email from your registered account address. Support verifies account ownership before processing the request, so submission is not instant erasure. Eligible account-linked data is removed through the deletion process; limited payment, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, legal, audit, backup, or provider records may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Do I need to download anything?
No. AYI is a web app that runs in a supported browser. A working microphone and permission to use it are required for voice practice.
